Fuel prices rise sharply in Germany amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, EU sees no direct impact from Iran conflict

Fuel prices in Germany have surged by 16–26% over the past week and continue to rise. At the same time, EU leadership stated there is no sign that the conflict with Iran is affecting their oil supplies, though rising prices remain a major concern. Currently, the EU has no plans to take additional measures regarding the oil market.

The report also notes that the United States plans to indefinitely remove Rosneft’s German subsidiary from sanctions starting Friday, which could affect the oil market. The rise in fuel prices in Germany is attributed to broader volatility in the oil sector.

Analysts are closely monitoring developments and warn that fuel prices may continue to increase if international tensions escalate further.
