Seven men charged in Germany in case linked to Hamas
Germany’s Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office said on Friday that it had charged seven men in Berlin. They are accused of alleged membership in Hamas, as well as preparing a serious violent crime that, according to the prosecutor’s wording, poses a threat to the state. The proceedings are connected to the procurement of weapons in Germany.
The prosecution’s version
According to the Jerusalem Post, prosecutors said the men acted on the instructions of high-ranking Hamas representatives. According to the prosecution, they obtained a fully automatic rifle, 13 pistols and more than 700 rounds of ammunition.

Possible targets of the attack
The prosecution believes that the weapons were intended for a planned attack in Germany or Austria around October 2025. Possible targets, according to the agency’s version, could have been Israeli representatives, Jews or people who support Israel. The charges reflect the prosecution’s position and do not mean that a court has established the men’s guilt.
