A body, believed to be that of a woman, was found in a suitcase in New South Wales
A suitcase containing a human body was found on the side of the road in the Australian state of New South Wales. Police believe the deceased may have been a woman, but her identity has not yet been officially confirmed.
The incident occurred near O'Allen—about 40 km south of the city of Goulburn. According to The Guardian World, state police were called to Wulgon Road, near Oallen Ford Road, around 12:50 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of a body discovery.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the remote location and found the body inside a suitcase. A New South Wales police spokesperson said that as of Sunday evening, the gender of the deceased had not been officially confirmed, but the body was believed to be that of a woman.

A crime scene was established at the location, and the suitcase was seized for forensic examination. Detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. At that time, police had not specified how long the body might have been at the scene.
Oallen is located approximately 70 km east of Canberra and 180 km southwest of Sydney.
