Paphos to host show for shelter dogs looking for homes — Cyprus Mail
On September 26, Paphos, Cyprus, will host the Long Stay Legends Dog Show 2026, dedicated to dogs that have spent a long time in shelters and are looking for new homes. The event in Emba is organised by the AIRS Foundation.
Meeting the dogs
As reported by Cyprus Mail, organisations running shelters from different parts of Cyprus will take part in the event. They will bring a selection of dogs that have been waiting a long time for a new family.
Visitors will be able to meet the animals and discuss the possibility of adopting them with people who know the personalities and stories of these dogs. The aim of the event is to draw attention to animals with long stays in shelters and help them find homes.

Programme and admission
The event will run from 11:00 to 17:00 on Agiou Stefanou Street in Emba, behind My German Doener. The programme includes a dog show dedicated to the dogs’ individual traits, resilience and uniqueness.
Stalls selling handmade products and goods from local entrepreneurs will also operate at the venue. Guests will be offered food from My German Doener, as well as street food, including from Schnitzelhaus Stroumpi and The Butschers Bakehouse. Admission to the event will be free.
