Two servicemen die while patrolling at sea in Pakistan
Two servicemen of the Pakistan Navy, Shoaibur Rehman and Ghufran Nasar, died while patrolling at sea. This was reported by Dawn, citing the Pakistan Navy Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR).
Navy statement
The directorate said that Rehman, listed as PMA-IV, and Nasar, listed as PMT-II, died while performing patrol duties at sea to ensure security. The statement was published on the social network X on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Command reaction
Pakistan Navy Commander Admiral Naveed Ashraf expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the servicemen, the directorate said. According to the DGPR, senior Navy officers attended the sailors’ funerals and met with their family members.
