In Poland, CBA agents entered the office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights — Interia

In Poland, officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) entered the office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights. Interia reported this, citing Wirtualna Polska.

Actions ordered by the prosecutor’s office

Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the minister-coordinator of special services, told Wirtualna Polska that CBA officers were acting on the instructions of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Szczecin. According to him, they are securing materials for the needs of the investigation, while the prosecutor’s office is to provide details of the case.

According to Wirtualna Polska, the CBA is not conducting its own investigation in this case. Bureau officers were sent to the office solely to secure materials.

Report concerning the commissioner

The position of Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Poland is held by Monika Horna-Cieślak. Interia writes that at the end of September, the prosecutor’s office received a report concerning her alleged commission of a crime.

The report was connected to the commissioner’s intervention, described by the media, in the case of a family from Warsaw’s Białołęka district. The publication does not specify whether the current CBA actions are connected to this report.
