In Poland, a man attacked a 15-year-old Ukrainian boy because he was speaking Ukrainian
In the Polish city of Płock, an adult man attacked a 15-year-old Ukrainian boy after hearing the teenager speaking Ukrainian. The incident occurred on a city bus, and the prosecutor’s office is already investigating the case.
According to the victim, the stranger stated that one must speak Polish in Poland, after which he began to act aggressively. The man struck the boy with the palm of his hand, and when the bus stopped, he forcibly pushed him and his girlfriend out of the bus.
The teenager’s mother said that following the incident, she fears for her son’s safety and admitted that she now feels unsafe herself when speaking Ukrainian in Poland.
The Płock District Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation. Law enforcement officials have already questioned the minor’s legal representative and a witness to the incident, and are working to identify the attacker.

Police in Wrocław, Poland, are investigating an attack on a 19-year-old Ukrainian citizen that occurred on July 4 on Słodowa Island in the city center. According to the victim and his father, the conflict may have arisen because the young man was speaking Ukrainian.
Earlier, in the Polish city of Radom, four men attacked a 20-year-old Ukrainian citizen after he was unable to sing Polish songs.
