Poland is outraged over the alleged secret transfer of scarce Patriot missiles to Ukraine
Krzysztof Bosak, co-chair of the “Confederation” party, revealed information about an allegedly secret transfer of Polish PAC-3MSE interceptor missiles to Ukraine for use in its Patriot air defense systems.
According to the politician, this decision was made by the government in March of this year without the Sejm’s approval.
According to Bosak, these munitions are extremely valuable for defense, as they are capable of intercepting Russian “Iskander” ballistic missiles.
“These were (or are) the only missiles Poland possessed (or possesses) capable of intercepting Russian ‘Iskander’ ballistic missiles, which pose a threat to Poland and are deployed in the Kaliningrad region,” he stated on X.
At the same time, Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Bureau at the Office of the President of Poland, called this information “highly likely” during an appearance on Polsat News.
He also noted that Poland might have ceded its place in line to Ukraine for receiving new missiles from American manufacturers.
“These missiles are manufactured by the Americans. It is known that there is a long waiting list to receive them. It takes a very long time for such systems to be manufactured. We were higher up on that list. Ukraine was behind us. And the government gave up its spot to Ukraine. So, the Poles will have to wait longer,” Przydacz explained.
When the host asked how reliable this information was, the representative of the Presidential Office emphasized that it had been confirmed.
However, Poland’s Deputy Minister of National Defense, Cezary Tomczyk, has not officially confirmed these statements. He merely noted that the list of military aid provided is classified.
Krzysztof Bosak wrote about this on the social media platform X.
