Man aged 80–89 detained in Seoul on suspicion of attempted murder
In Seoul, South Korea, police detained a man aged 80–89 on suspicion of attempted murder. As The Korea Herald reports, citing the Dongdaemun Police Station, he is suspected of stabbing a man aged 70–79.
Attack in the Dongdaemun district
According to police, the attack occurred at around 8:20 p.m. in the Jeonnong-dong area of Dongdaemun District in eastern Seoul. The suspect then fled the scene.
Law enforcement officers detained him nearby about 10 minutes after the attack.

Victim taken to hospital
The man sustained stab wounds to his abdomen and other parts of his body. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
According to preliminary information, the men had argued at a nearby coffee shop shortly before the attack. Police are questioning the detained man to establish the motive and exact circumstances of the incident.
