Oracle case claimants in the US to receive $37.42 each — The Hill
In the United States, participants in a class-action lawsuit against technology company Oracle who submitted valid claims will receive $37.42 each. Payments from the $115 million settlement fund are set to begin on September 21, 2026, and continue until December 7, 2026, The Hill reports.
How payments will be made
The settlement administrator said the payment amount was determined after legal and administrative expenses were deducted from the fund. The money may be sent to a prepaid debit card, deposited directly into an account, or transferred through Venmo or Zelle, depending on the method the claimant selected when submitting the claim.
The deadline for filing claims to participate in the settlement has already expired. People affected by the payment should have already received an email notifying them of its arrival.

What the lawsuit was about
The lawsuit alleged that Oracle, as a global data broker, created a network for real-time tracking and indefinite storage of the personal information of hundreds of millions of people. The plaintiffs claimed that this included web browsing history, data on purchases in physical stores, and geolocation.
The lawsuit also alleged that the company sold the collected personal data to other companies, while people had no direct relationship with Oracle and could not give consent to such dissemination of information. Oracle denied any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $115 million to settle the claims. Up to hundreds of millions of people were expected to be eligible to participate in the lawsuit.
