Ukraine Briefed Israel on Russia's Crimes
During a meeting with Israeli experts, the Ukrainian delegation discussed the situation on the front lines, Russia’s war crimes, and the consequences of the latest attacks on Ukrainian cities. The parties also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Israel in the field of security.
The meeting took place at the Misgav Institute for National Security & Zionist Strategy and included representatives from leading Israeli think tanks. The Ukrainian side was represented by Yevhen Korniychuk, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel; Olga Vasylevska-Smaglyuk, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and co-chair of the Ukraine-Israel Friendship Group; and Andriy Ricota, Israel’s Honorary Consul in Odesa.
During the talks, participants discussed the security situation in Ukraine, the course of Russian aggression, and opportunities for the further development of Ukrainian-Israeli relations. Separately, the Ukrainian delegation briefed their Israeli partners on Russia’s war crimes, strikes on civilian infrastructure, and the deaths of civilians resulting from Russian attacks. “We conveyed to our partners a realistic picture of what is happening in Ukraine and emphasized the need for continued support in the fight against Russian aggression,” noted representatives of the Ukrainian side.

The meeting participants also discussed common security challenges, particularly threats related to Iran’s activities in the Middle East and beyond.
Representatives of Israeli think tanks confirmed their interest in continuing the dialogue with Ukraine and developing joint projects. They also emphasized the importance of maintaining international support for Ukraine. “We are interested in strengthening expert cooperation with Ukraine and exchanging experiences regarding contemporary security challenges,” the Israeli experts stated. The meeting marked another step in developing ties between Ukrainian and Israeli experts.
