Far-right politician Fishback calls on US to sever ties with Israel — Jerusalem Post
In the United States, far-right politician James Fishback, speaking at the University of Mississippi, called on President Donald Trump to separate the country from Israel. This was reported by the Jerusalem Post.
Call to separate from Israel
According to the publication, Fishback said Trump should call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and stop cooperating with him. He also said that the United States should separate itself from Israel in order to save America.
Fishback blamed Israel and the United States’ inability to say “no” to it for drawing the United States into a war with Iran. In his view, this war led to higher gasoline prices and rising US Treasury bond yields.

Statements on abortion and antisemitism
During a speech on Tuesday evening, Fishback compared abortion to the Holocaust and claimed that, by historical standards, it was worse. He also said that since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, 61 million children had allegedly been killed in the womb.
Earlier this summer, the Combat Antisemitism Movement called one of Fishback’s posts on X antisemitic, in which he described abortion as a Holocaust. The politician himself said he condemns all forms of religious hatred, but called hostility toward Christians in the United States its most widespread manifestation.
The speech took place at the Turn Up the Mic forum, organized by members of the Turning Point USA chapter at the University of Mississippi. Fishback is a former Republican candidate for governor of Florida.
