Accra to host programme for women leaders — MyJoyOnline
According to MyJoyOnline, the Legacy Leadership Africa Institute plans to hold the two-day Boardroom Women Leadership Programme in Accra, Ghana. The event is scheduled for October 7–8 at Dynaspace, located in the Signature Apartments complex in the East Legon area.
The programme is intended to prepare women for effective participation in corporate and institutional boards. Participants will gain knowledge of corporate governance, strategic leadership and the development of the leadership presence needed to work at board level.
Training areas
The organizers will focus the training on governance excellence, strategic leadership and leadership presence. The programme will cover corporate governance, the roles and responsibilities of board members, strategic thinking, board communication, risk oversight, ethics and integrity.

Participants will also examine the regulatory environment for effective board oversight. The strategic leadership module is intended to help them develop long-term thinking, engage constructively with management, manage organizational resources and contribute to the creation of sustainable value.
Target audience and facilitators
The training is designed for women executives from various sectors: senior managers, directors, general managers, department heads, entrepreneurs, representatives of the public sector, non-governmental organizations and consultants. The programme also invites women preparing for board appointments, as well as emerging leaders.
Expected facilitators include Corporate Governance Authority board chair Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, business leader Pearl Esua-Mensah, global leadership and brand strategist Renee Q. Boateng, as well as Legacy Leadership Africa Institute founder and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply vice president Rev. Celestine Djane.
