340 kg of cocaine were found in a container of bananas in Italy
Italian customs officials seized 340 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of bananas that arrived from Colombia. Law enforcement officials estimate that the drugs could have been worth around 120 million euros on the black market.
On Friday, July 3, Italy’s financial police announced the seizure of 340 kg of pure cocaine at the port of Vado Ligure. The drugs were hidden in a shipment of bananas from Colombia.
The estimated black-market value of the seized drugs is about 120 million euros.
