In Israel, IDF chief of staff orders investigation into NAZA film
In Israel, Israel Defense Forces Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir instructed Chief Military Prosecutor Maj. Gen. Itay Ofir to launch an investigation into the documentary film NAZA. The Jerusalem Post reports.
Zamir gave the instruction on Tuesday. A day earlier, he said he intended to review the film and suggested that legal action could be taken against its directors, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Shore.
Information security review
The investigation is to cover information security issues, including a possible leak of classified materials that may have been used in the film. Officials must also establish the identities of the people interviewed by the filmmakers and check whether any of them are on active duty in the Israel Defense Forces or in the reserves.

The military may consider legal action if it finds that serving personnel passed unauthorized information to the directors. According to the publication, the review is likely to focus on Unit 8200, as a data leak could harm its operations and personnel.
Possible Shin Bet involvement
According to Ynet, the IDF also asked Israel's Shin Bet security service to assist with the investigation. As The Jerusalem Post reports, citing Ynet, Shin Bet has not yet agreed to participate and told the military that it is awaiting a formal request.
According to Ynet, such a request is to be submitted after Itay Ofir makes a decision on the investigation in coordination with Israeli Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara.
