Israel to change train schedule for Yom Kippur
In Israel, railway company Israel Railways will introduce a special train schedule ahead of and during Yom Kippur. On Sunday, September 20, trains will run on an enhanced schedule until 13:00, The Jerusalem Post reports.
More trains between Haifa and Tel Aviv
Until 13:00, Israel Railways plans to run two trains per hour between Haifa and Tel Aviv instead of the usual one. After 13:00, train services will be suspended until September 22.
The company clarified that some night trains between Monday and Tuesday will operate as usual.

Technical capabilities of the Gush Dan metro
The publication also recalled the planned Gush Dan metro network. It is expected to be highly automated, without drivers, and, according to the plan, provide train services at intervals of one and a half minutes even during peak hours.
According to The Jerusalem Post, the system will technically be capable of operating on weekends and during holidays, including Yom Kippur. An NTA representative stressed, however, that weekend operations are only a technical possibility, while the final decision will be made by the political leadership.
