Speaking to his supporters, Trump claimed that the U.S. has allegedly suffered losses for many years due to trade barriers imposed by a number of countries, among which he named China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Canada, and Mexico.
“We’re being ripped off by tariffs that have been used against us for years—China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, all of them, Canada. Canada is disgusting. That’s just how they are. I love Canadians, but their leadership is disgusting,” Trump said.
The U.S. president also mentioned negotiations with Iran, noting that Washington is continuing its dialogue with Tehran and “will see what happens.” In addition, he said that the U.S. might have to “raise” oil prices “again,” but did not specify what exactly he meant.
At the end of his speech, Trump once again presented his “Great Healthcare Plan,” which, among other things, calls for transferring funds to Americans’ special savings accounts to pay for health insurance and other expenses.
The U.S. president also stated that he would like to remove U.S. Supreme Court justices appointed by Democrats. At the same time, he noted that liberal justices “never stray from the course,” unlike some conservative justices.
