Video: Zelenskyy Met with the Norwegian Prime Minister and Discussed a Key Issue
On September 8, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre in Oslo. The two sides discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, the need for interceptor missiles, and Ukraine’s preparations for winter.
According to Zelenskyy, the parties discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense system, Ukraine’s need for interceptor missiles, and further work on the FREYJA anti-ballistic missile program. Special attention was given to Ukraine’s preparations for the winter.
“Thank you to Jonas Garu Stere for the meeting and his unwavering support for our people,” Zelenskyy wrote.
The president also expressed his condolences on the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway and thanked the royal family and the Norwegian people for their support of Ukraine. Harald V died on August 28 at the age of 89 at the University Hospital of Oslo. His son immediately ascended the throne as King Haakon VIII.
The funeral of King Harald V of Norway is scheduled for September 9.
Following the death of King Harald V of Norway, his son, Crown Prince Haakon, automatically succeeded to the throne and became King Haakon VIII. Norway’s new monarch is 53 years old.
