Eight countries condemn statements on forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza
The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar and Egypt condemned statements by Israeli officials regarding plans for the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. In a joint statement, they described such proposals as “incitement,” a flagrant violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, and a threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
Seven-year plan
According to the publication, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Thursday presented a seven-year plan to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The officials described the approach as “voluntary emigration.”
The foreign ministers of the eight countries rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians, both within the occupied Palestinian territories and beyond them, regardless of the grounds or form. They also warned against turning such actions into official policy.

Call to the international community
The statement said that such measures run counter to international peace efforts, including US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which rejects forced displacement. The ministers warned that this could undermine regional stability.
They stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and called for preserving the territorial unity of Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The authors of the statement described the implementation of the two-state solution as the only path to a just and lasting peace: the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministers also called on the international community, including the UN Security Council, to counter attempts to alter the demographic or geographic status of the occupied Palestinian territories and to uphold international law. They reaffirmed support for Palestinians remaining on their land and rejected attempts to restrict their rights or erase the Palestinian issue.
