Zelenskyy Expressed Support for the U.S. on the 25th Anniversary of the September 11 Terror Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the United States of America on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which claimed the lives of approximately 3,000 people from 90 countries around the world, including Ukrainians. The head of state honored the memory of the victims and paid tribute to the police officers, firefighters, and civilians who saved the lives of others.

In his address, the President emphasized that following these events, NATO demonstrated its strength by invoking Article 5 in response to terrorism. According to him, preserving civilization, freedoms, and values requires a decisive response to any actions by enemies and terrorists, as evil must be punished.

He shared this on social media.

In the U.S., people shared their stories 25 years after the September 11 attacks.

Twenty-five years after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, conspiracy theories about these attacks continue to circulate in the U.S. According to a 2023 YouGov poll, one in five Americans believes the U.S. government was behind the attacks.
