Akaa residents call for improved mobile coverage

Residents of Akaa and several neighboring communities in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region have called on authorities and telecommunications operators to improve mobile coverage. This was reported by MyJoyOnline. Due to unstable mobile service, people find it difficult to make calls and stay in touch with relatives and others in different parts of the country.

Communities without reliable connectivity

George Yeboah, the assembly member for the Akaa electoral area, known as Teapot, said the problem affects not only Akaa itself. According to him, unreliable service is also present in the communities of Akaa Quarters, Akaa Adzamasi, Akaa Dzokpokofe, Akaa Bompa, Akaa Twingyina, Akaa Tankey and Akaa Kyrikasa.

Yeboah described Akaa as one of the largest towns in the Jasikan constituency. He noted that network connectivity problems remain one of the main concerns for local residents, while people in neighboring communities face the same difficulties.
