In the U.S., 18-year-old American actress Kaylee Gottle, who rose to fame after playing Jia in the movie *Godzilla vs. Kong*, died in a traffic accident. The tragic accident occurred on July 21 in Maryland.
The shocking news was reported by the tabloid TMZ, citing a statement from the actress’s father, Joshua Gottle. According to law enforcement, on the day of the tragedy, the young actress was traveling in a Honda Accord when the driver unexpectedly veered into a roadside ditch. Speeding may have been the cause of the accident.
Later, Kaylee Gottle’s father posted a nearly 23-minute video on his Facebook page, in which he shared several other details of the tragedy using sign language. As he noted, officials contacted him after the car accident and informed him that the actress’s heart had stopped on the way to the hospital. Joshua Gottle had to fly from Texas to Maryland to retrieve his daughter’s body.
