The Polish-Ukrainian Baltic Business Forum: Energy for Security will take place on May 11–12
On May 11–12, 2026, the Polish city of Świnoujście will host the 18th Baltic Business Forum (BBF), which this year will be held under the theme “Energy for Security.”
Participants will focus on strategic issues of energy sovereignty and deepening cooperation between Poland and Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has demonstrated that uninterrupted access to energy resources is of vital importance for the national economy and the security of citizens.
The choice of venue is symbolic, as Świnoujście boasts a powerful LNG terminal and developed infrastructure, making it a key hub for supply diversification.
This year’s BBF program covers a wide range of technical and economic challenges, including the role of the Baltic Sea as a logistics hub for Central and Eastern Europe.
Special attention will be given to investments in the Ukrainian energy sector through the Ukraine Facility mechanisms, supported by leading Polish financial and insurance institutions.
Experts will also discuss the development of Poland’s nuclear energy sector, the potential of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea, and the use of biogas and bioethanol.
An important topic of discussion will be the role of local government in implementing energy efficiency, which is critical for the resilience of municipal communities during times of crisis.
The forum will be attended by government representatives from both countries, executives from leading energy companies, and international experts.
The event traditionally brings together business and political leaders to develop practical solutions aimed at strengthening energy independence and integrating Ukrainian systems into the European energy space.
