The EU could quickly release €90 billion for Ukraine — Sky News

The European Union expects a €90 billion loan for Ukraine to be released soon following the change of government in Hungary.

Sky News reports this.

According to sources, Peter Magyar’s new government may lift the veto that previously blocked the allocation of funds.

European diplomats plan to discuss mechanisms for accelerating the funding in the coming days.

Germany also expects the aid to be transferred to Kyiv promptly.

A government spokesperson stated that Berlin is working to ensure the funds are provided as quickly as possible and expects a new government to be formed in Hungary soon.

Von der Leyen assured that Ukraine will receive a loan from the EU.
