The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has officially confirmed a new strike on the oil refinery in Tuapse
On the night of April 28, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a second strike against the Tuapse Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai as part of efforts to reduce the aggressor’s military and economic capabilities. Strike drones were recorded hitting the facility’s grounds.
This information has already been officially confirmed by the General Staff.
“This facility is involved in supplying the Russian Federation’s occupying army on Ukrainian territory. Strike drones were recorded hitting the facility’s territory, followed by a fire. The extent of the damage is being assessed,” the statement reads.
Ukrainian troops also struck a radar station belonging to the “Ai-Petri” radio-technical battalion near Okhotnyche in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian units successfully struck enemy command and observation posts near Molochansk, Stulneve, Kokhanoye, Uspenivka, and a logistics depot in the Kyrylivka area of Zaporizhzhia Oblast; they also struck troop concentrations near Velyka Novosilka and Rodynske in Donetsk Oblast, Starobohdanivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and Ovrazhok in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Among other targets, a UAV command post in the vicinity of Hola Prystan in the Kherson region was struck.
Earlier, official results were released regarding strikes on Russian strategic facilities in Tuapse and Yaroslavl.
Residents of Tuapse, Russia, are increasingly complaining about the unbearable living conditions in the frontline city. The once-popular resort has turned into an area of environmental disaster and constant danger due to regular explosions at local industrial facilities.
In Tuapse, Russia, while cleaning up the aftermath of an oil spill, the city beach was covered with a new layer of pebbles. At the same time, local residents and environmentalists claim that traces of fuel oil are still visible near the water and that a full cleanup has not taken place.
