Lavrov did not like the disrespectful tone of Zelenskyy's letter to Putin

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s open letter to Putin proposing a meeting was not the act of a polite person. The occupier was outraged that the Office of the President of Ukraine had made this document public and distributed it around the world.

According to Lavrov, Putin interpreted this appeal as an indication that the Kremlin does not need negotiations.

As early as June 5, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the dictator rejected this proposal and responded with insults, after which Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that Putin had missed an opportunity to end the war with minimal losses.

This was reported by TASS.

Zelenskyy published an open letter to Putin—full text.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is allegedly ready for negotiations to end the war against Ukraine, but sees no willingness for dialogue on the Ukrainian side.
