Since the beginning of the day, there have been 88 combat engagements between the Defence Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The most intense fighting is ongoing on the Pokrovsk axis, where the enemy is concentrating its main efforts.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 16:00 on Tuesday, 31 March, according to Ukrinform.
“Since the beginning of the day, the number of enemy attacks has reached 88,” the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, the aggressor continues to shell border areas. Today, in the Sumy region, the following settlements were affected: Budky, Khodyne, Bachivsk, Ryzhivka, Rohizne, Ulanove, Vyntorivka, Krenydivka, Malushyne, Otruby; and Lohy and Serhiivske in the Chernihiv region.
On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, the enemy carried out 39 strikes on populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian forces, one of which involved multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, the enemy made three attempts to improve its tactical position near Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, and Okhrimivka. One enemy attack is ongoing.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy conducted one assault near Nova Kruhliakivka.
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian forces repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance towards Drobysheve and Lyman.
On the Sloviansk axis, the occupiers made two attempts to advance towards the positions of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Riznykivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy attempted once to advance towards Kostiantynivka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the invaders launched 16 attacks near the settlements of Sofiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Mykolaipillia, and Kostiantynivka. Three enemy attacks are ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted 44 times to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions near Bilytske, Nove Shakhove, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhrodne, Horikhove, and Filiia. Three assault operations are ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy carried out seven attacks towards Rivnopillia, Oleksandrohrad, Pryvillia, Novomykolaivka, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Three engagements are ongoing.
On the Huliaipole axis, 11 attacks took place towards Ukrainian defensive positions near Rivnopillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, and Myrne. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Yehorivka, Dolynka, Kopani, and Krynyvka.
On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Mykilske, Veselianka, and Novoolelivka but conducted no ground assaults.
On the Prydniprovske axis, the occupiers attempted one attack near Bilohrudyi Island.
No significant changes have been observed on other axes; no enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
