The General Staff reported 46 combat engagements and an escalation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine
As of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, the highest level of Russian activity is being observed in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv, and Lyman sectors.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the start of the day, the total number of combat engagements across the entire front line has risen to 46. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the aggressor’s advance, which is using aviation, artillery, and strike drones to support ground operations, while Ukrainian defenders are inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers made 14 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and Molodetske. In the Kostiantynivka sector, 11 attacks were recorded near Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byka, Pleshchiivka, Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. Artillery shelling also continues in the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, where more than ten settlements came under fire, including Bachivsk, Tovstodubove, and Kryvush. In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, one combat engagement took place, and the enemy carried out 47 attacks on our troops’ positions, including the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
As a reminder, in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled a Russian mechanized assault and destroyed enemy equipment.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counterattacks are forcing Russia to change its offensive plans.
