In areas near the front lines, the enemy is distributing fake leaflets containing threats of an offensive

Russian invaders have launched a new large-scale information and psychological operation in the frontline areas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Residents of Nikopol have begun finding propaganda leaflets en masse, in which the enemy intimidates people with claims of an alleged upcoming offensive and urges them to stockpile food immediately.

In these materials, the occupiers are spreading knowingly false information about preparations for a “crossing of the Dnipro” within the next two weeks.

The civilian population is advised not to use private transportation and to prepare for active combat operations within the city.

Ivan Bazilyuk, head of the Nikopol District Military Administration, officially refuted these claims, calling them yet another provocation.

“The leaflets contain threats and false statements aimed at justifying their own crimes against the civilian population and disorienting citizens,” the official emphasized.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and an officer with the Defense Forces, explained that the key objective of the enemy’s campaign is to create panic.

The Russians are trying to sow fear among local residents in order to destabilize the situation behind Ukrainian troops.

In addition to psychological pressure, such messages effectively serve as a warning of further terror against civilians.

The enemy continues to use technical means to attack civilians, attempting to back up their threats with actual strikes.

“Their FPV pilots regularly attack civilians and vehicles. Therefore, it is very important to follow reports from local authorities and the military regarding the security situation,” Andriy Kovalenko warned in his comment.

As a reminder, Russia is spreading a fake story about Ukraine preparing provocations involving hazardous substances in the Donetsk region.

The Ground Forces have debunked the fake news about the death of a Hungarian national at the TCC.
