New potatoes have dropped sharply in price at the Capital Market: how much does 1 kg cost?
Over the weekend, prices for new potatoes from Ukrainian producers at the "Stolychny" market fell by 20%—from 100 to about 80 hryvnia per kilogram. Other vegetables from the new harvest are also becoming cheaper.

The price range for domestic new potatoes is 75–130 UAH/kg. At the same time, imported new potatoes have become even cheaper over the same period—from 45 to 33 UAH/kg, or by more than 25%. Currently, imported potatoes are selling for between 30 and 35 UAH/kg.
As for the cost of potatoes from last year’s harvest, the vegetable has been selling at a stable price for several weeks now—an average of 9 UAH/kg. The cheapest price for this vegetable on the market is 7 UAH per kilogram, while the highest prices charged by sellers reach 13 UAH per kilogram.
Other vegetables from the new harvest also became cheaper over the weekend. Young beets dropped by 17 hryvnias and now cost an average of 50 UAH/kg (-25%). And the price of young white cabbage from domestic producers fell by 5 hryvnias—to 30 UAH/kg (-14%).
Prices for vegetables used in borscht remain stable in 2026.
