The Netherlands is allocating 500 million euros to Ukraine for drones and air defense systems – Reuters
The Dutch government has announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine totaling 500 million euros, intended for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles and air defense systems.
Half of this amount—250 million euros—will be used to purchase drones directly from Dutch defense companies. The remaining 250 million euros will be invested through the PURL initiative, which supplies the Ukrainian military with U.S.-made weapons.
Thanks to this decision, Amsterdam’s total contribution to the PURL program has increased to 1 billion euros; through this platform, the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive missiles and air defense equipment, as well as ammunition for F-16 aircraft and other combat systems. In addition, the parties signed an official letter of intent to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of defense innovation.
