Peskov said that Trump did not call Putin after the talks in Ankara

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that, following the meetings in Ankara, no phone call took place between U.S. President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

According to Peskov, the Russian leader reportedly remains open to dialogue, but there have been no new phone calls between the two sides since the talks in Ankara.

Speaking to reporters, Dmitry Peskov stated that following the recent meetings in Ankara, no phone call took place between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. According to the Kremlin spokesperson, this may have been due to the U.S. president’s busy schedule.

“Mr. Trump was most likely very busy following all the meetings in Ankara. That is why no one called yesterday. President Putin is always happy to talk. He maintains a truly constructive dialogue, despite certain differences,” said Dmitry Peskov.

The Kremlin spokesman also emphasized that the Russian president is ready to communicate.

“No one has called yet. President Putin is open to dialogue,” Peskov emphasized.

This is reported by Russian media.

In Russia, a military officer who threatened Putin with a mutiny has been released from custody.

Russian military officer Lunin, who had appealed to Putin, was subjected to a search of his home.

Earlier, the Kremlin responded to the war veteran’s threats to stage a mutiny against Putin.

Prior to this, Lunin had told Putin about abuses in the Russian military.
