Following the Russian Federation's attack and severe weather, the number of power outages in Ukraine has increased

On the morning of July 6, as a result of yet another massive Russian missile and drone attack, power outages were reported in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The enemy strikes targeted civilian energy infrastructure facilities.

Currently, utility crews have already begun emergency repair work wherever the security situation allows and are working to restore power as quickly as possible.

Additionally, due to a thunderstorm and strong gusts of wind in the Sumy region, 58 settlements were left without electricity. Repair crews are already restoring the damaged power lines.

At the same time, electricity consumption in Ukraine’s power grid has decreased by 13.8%. This was caused by a significant drop in air temperature, which reduced the use of air conditioners.

Energy officials advise using high-power electrical appliances between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and urge the public to monitor announcements from distribution system operators, as the situation in the power grid may change.

This was reported in a post by NPC “Ukrenergo” on Telegram.

As a reminder, people have been killed in the Kyiv region due to a Russian attack, and evacuations are ongoing.

In addition, during the Russian terrorists’ attack on Kyiv on the night of July 6, the home of actress and TV host Olena Kravets was damaged.
