Poland will build Europe's tallest skyscraper

The Polish city of Wrocław is planning to carry out a large-scale architectural project: the construction of the Giant Tower, a multifunctional skyscraper. The 272-meter-tall tower will become the centerpiece of a new business district and is set to become the tallest building in the European Union in terms of height to the roof.

The future complex will be located on a 2.5-hectare plot on Fabryczna Street, near the historic site of the former Pafawag factory. The total area of the facility will be 175,000 square meters. The project by developer Giant Development Group is based on the “city within a city” concept, combining the following under one roof:

  • Premium-class (A+) office space;

  • A five-star hotel;

  • Apartments for long-term rent;

  • Leisure facilities: panoramic restaurants, spa centers, and a large open terrace with a view of Lower Silesia.

The first two floors of Giant Tower will be fully open to city residents and tourists, featuring public spaces, restaurants, and a lobby. Four additional office buildings are planned around the main tower, the tallest of which will reach 214 meters. Due to the unprecedented density and height of the development, the media has already dubbed this area “Wrocław’s Manhattan.” Investors are expected to receive official permission to begin construction in mid-2027.

Currently, the tallest skyscraper in Poland and the entire EU is the Varso Tower in Warsaw, with a total height of 310 meters including the spire. However, the height of the roof of the Warsaw tower is 230 meters, while the Wrocław Giant Tower will have a structural height of 272 meters, allowing it to set new architectural records for European high-rise construction.

In the Georgian capital, there are plans to build the tallest skyscraper in the Caucasus, which will be named after U.S. President Donald Trump, and individuals subject to U.S. sanctions have been found to be involved in the construction process.

The sources of funding for the construction of the Trump Tower in Toronto have been identified. Russian and Ukrainian connections have been found in the case.
