A protest took place in Berlin during which activists glued themselves to the road in front of the Rheinmetall factory.

This was reported by DW.

According to police, seven protesters blocked the road by gluing themselves to the pavement, after which they were removed by law enforcement officers.

Some participants sustained minor injuries to their hands and received medical attention on the spot.

Law enforcement launched an investigation into suspected trespassing, coercion, and resisting police officers.

During the protest, activists chanted slogans in German: “Rheinmetall—out of Berlin” and “German weapons, German money—killing people all over the world.”

The incident occurred about two weeks after a similar protest: at that time, demonstrators climbed onto the roof of the facility, hung up posters related to the conflict in the Middle East, and splashed paint on the building’s facade. The police deployed special units to remove them from the roof.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, an unofficial advisor to the President of Ukraine on strategic issues, responded to a statement by Armin Papperger, CEO of the German company Rheinmetall, who mocked Ukraine’s drone industry.

The German defense conglomerate Rheinmetall issued a statement emphasizing its deep respect for the Ukrainian people’s efforts to defend themselves against Russian aggression. This came after the company’s CEO, Armin Papperger, criticized Ukrainian drones.
