Russia attacks Odesa region with over 50 drones, 23 injured (photos)
On the night of 27 January, Russia carried out an attack on Odesa and two nearby districts, using over 50 strike drones. As a result of the shelling, 23 people were injured, nine of whom were hospitalised, including two girls (born 2008 and 2013) and a pregnant woman at 39 weeks. One person is in serious condition, while eight others are in moderate condition.
This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the Odesa Police.
The city’s military administration added that 14 people suffered acute stress reactions but did not require hospitalisation.

According to the OMA, dozens of residential buildings, a church, a kindergarten, a lyceum, a fitness centre, and private vehicles were damaged. In several apartment blocks, dozens of flats were destroyed or damaged, facades were smashed, and windows broken.

All those injured are receiving medical assistance. Rescue and emergency services are working at the sites of the strikes, and efforts to clear the aftermath of the attack are ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are recording Russia’s war crimes against civilians.

In Odesa, a Russian drone struck a house of worship belonging to Evangelical Christians, according to President Zelensky.
In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in the massive night drone attack on 24 January rose to 27. On 19 January, Russian forces also struck Kharkiv with guided bombs.
