Rutte called the U.S. strikes on Iran absolutely necessary

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed support for the United States’ actions following Iran’s latest attacks on commercial vessels near the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the U.S. military response was “absolutely necessary” to protect the freedom of international navigation.

Rutte commented on the U.S. strikes against Iran, which were intended to inflict significant damage in response to the attacks on commercial vessels.

“It was absolutely necessary. Because when you have a ceasefire and it’s being violated, we saw that ships were being attacked. I think it was crucial that the U.S. responded,” Rutte said.

He made these remarks ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, according to a correspondent for “European Truth.”

As a reminder, the U.S. has launched a large-scale military operation against Iran.

As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States does not need Ukraine’s help in defending against Iranian drone strikes. He emphasized that American drones are “the best in the world” and their capabilities surpass those of any others.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that the United States allegedly does not need Ukraine’s help in combating Iranian “Shahed” drones. The head of state called these remarks “rhetoric” and stressed that what matters most are concrete actions and cooperation between countries.
