Russia launched a massive drone attack on southern Odesa Oblast; there are casualties
On the night of May 14, Russian forces launched a massive attack using strike drones on the southern part of the Odesa region. The shelling damaged residential and port infrastructure, and there are reports of injuries.
This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
According to him, one of the enemy drones struck a five-story residential building. The strike damaged the building’s facade and windows, and caused fires on the balconies and in an auto shop located on the first floor.
A single-story residential building was also damaged, with two people injured.
In addition to residential buildings, the strike also affected port infrastructure—a warehouse and an administrative building were damaged.

Debris from the downed drone fell onto the grounds of an educational institution.
Cleanup efforts are currently underway, with emergency services and utility workers on the scene. Residents of the damaged buildings are receiving necessary assistance.
Law enforcement officials are documenting yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation.
On May 15, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum in the Kharkiv region. The strike damaged the protective shelter of the site, which is under UNESCO protection.
As a reminder, 27 exhibits from the Hryhorii Skovoroda Museum were restored in the Kharkiv region.
We have also previously reported that archaeological excavations in the ancient Roman city of Ossonoba in southern Portugal led to a fascinating discovery—the uncovering of three Roman tombs dating to the 5th or 6th century AD.
Earlier, just a stone’s throw from Tutankhamun’s tomb, archaeologists unearthed the pyramid of an unknown ancient Egyptian queen, as well as a cache containing coffins, mummies, and artifacts.
