Russians struck the Odesa region with drones: injuries reported, civilian infrastructure damaged

On the night of December 18, Russian occupying forces carried out a strike using unmanned aerial vehicles on the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded.

This was reported by the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

The blast wave shattered windows in a nine-story residential building and in the building of an educational institution, however, no fires broke out.

According to medical personnel, seven people sustained injuries of varying severity. Six of them were provided medical assistance directly at the scene, while one person, in a condition of moderate severity, was taken to a hospital for further treatment.

According to information from the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, eight people were injured during enemy strikes on civilian facilities — four women and four men. A 43-year-old and a 29-year-old man were hospitalized with injuries, while the rest received medical assistance on site.

"Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged: glazing was shattered, façades of a nine-story residential building and an educational institution were damaged, as well as private houses and 10 vehicles parked nearby,” the prosecutor’s office said in its statement.

On the night of December 18, Russia once again attacked Ukraine, using 82 attack drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 63 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

As of December 18, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated statistics on the losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
