Russian occupiers launched a ballistic missile attack on Merefa in the Kharkiv region, killing four people

On the morning of May 4, Russian terrorists launched a missile strike on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Four people were killed in the attack, and many others were injured.

This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, and the Ukrainian Air Force.

Details are known about the four victims: two men aged 50 and 63, and two women aged 41 and 52. Medical personnel are providing care to 16 injured individuals.

The strike hit several targets: private homes and apartment buildings, four stores, and a service station.

A fire broke out in a private home and a car at the site.

“The fire has already been extinguished. We are assessing damage to private and apartment buildings, four stores, and a service station. Emergency response teams and all relevant services continue to work at the site of the strike,” the statement said.

As a reminder, on the night of May 4, Russia launched 155 drones of various types at Ukraine. However, Ukrainian air defense forces were able to destroy or intercept most of them—135 targets.

As a result of the drone attack on Zaporizhzhia carried out by the aggressor country on Sunday, nine civilians were injured. Among the victims is a two-year-old child, and the ages of those injured range from 2 to 67 years old.

On the afternoon of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Ukraine, resulting in several explosions being heard in Dnipro.
