Russian pilot Zemtsov committed suicide due to a conflict with his superiors
Russian military pilot Alexei Zemtsov, known as the administrator of the propaganda channel “Voevoda Veshchaet,” took his own life after prolonged pressure from the leadership of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Before his death, the occupier recorded a 20-minute video message in which he accused the generals of driving him to suicide and “discrediting” his activities.
Senior Lieutenant Zemtsov was a pilot of a Ka-52 combat helicopter and had long been involved in providing informational support for the aggression against Ukraine.
Previously, he administered the “Returned from War” resource, and later created his own channel, where he frequently criticized the state of affairs in the Russian army.
It was this criticism that led to a conflict with high-ranking officials, in particular with Lieutenant General Vladimir Kravchenko, deputy commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The pilot’s conflict with the command escalated after he was grounded and attempts were made to discharge him via a psychiatric hospital.
The situation was complicated by a personal drama: Zemtsov spent several months in pretrial detention for assaulting his assistant, whom he accused of having an affair with his own wife.
According to the pilot, he was effectively supporting his wife’s lover, paying him a salary from the channel’s revenue.
In his “final” video, the pilot openly named those who had pressured him. In addition to General Kravchenko, the list included unit commander Avramchenko and military investigator Kantemirov.
Zemtsov claimed that they were trying to send him back to pretrial detention under the charge of “discrediting the army” in order to cover up violations committed by the command itself.
In his statement, the occupier paid special attention to his superiors, emphasizing their names.
“I was driven to this state by commanders with Ukrainian surnames—Avramenko and Kravchenko,” Zemtsov stated in his monologue.
