Sibiga will visit Moldova for the official launch of the Special Tribunal against Russia
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga will visit Chisinau on May 14–15 to participate in a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The main event will be the signing by more than 30 states of an agreement establishing the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This step will effectively launch the tribunal, which will try senior Russian officials for starting the war.
The visit’s agenda also includes talks with his Moldovan counterpart, Mihai Popșoi, and meetings with the leadership of the Council of Europe. In addition to official meetings, Sibiga will visit the city of Bălți, home to a significant Ukrainian community.
