Defense forces struck Russian UAVs in Pokrovsk

According to military sources, Russian units are attempting to establish a foothold in Pokrovsk and gradually expand their network of UAV launch sites right within the city’s built-up areas. To do this, they are using residential neighborhoods, hiding in basements, building entrances, and even concrete shelters. “Russian forces continue to attempt to build up forces and resources in Pokrovsk to support further offensive operations,” the 7th Airborne Corps noted.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military is identifying and systematically destroying such positions, attempting to disrupt the operations of enemy reconnaissance and strike drones, which are actively deployed in this area.
According to preliminary information, the targeted site was used to launch “Molniya”-type UAVs and conduct aerial surveillance. Following the strike, as noted by the Airborne Forces, the Russian units’ capabilities for reconnaissance and strike coordination were significantly limited. “The destruction of the facility has complicated the operations of enemy drone units in the area and reduced the enemy’s capabilities for reconnaissance and striking,” the military emphasized.
Defense forces emphasize that Russian troops continue to attempt to use urban infrastructure for the covert deployment of their drone systems, but such targets are regularly detected and destroyed by Ukrainian units. In the southern sector, Russian troops have sharply intensified their assault operations, deploying new and better-trained units to the Huliaipole area. Despite the failure of their previous plans to seize territory, the occupiers are setting new deadlines and attempting to increase pressure on Ukrainian positions.
