The U.S. May Redirect Weapons Intended for Ukraine to the Middle East — Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington has not ruled out the possibility of redirecting weapons intended for Ukraine to operations in the Middle East.

According to him, no such decision has been made yet, and no shipments have been altered.

“Nothing has been redirected yet, but it is possible,” Rubio noted.

He emphasized that, if necessary, the U.S. would first and foremost be guided by its own national interests, particularly defense needs and the fulfillment of military missions.

The Secretary of State also explained that this concerns weapons within the scope of military sales paid for by allies, and theoretically, they could be reallocated at any time.
