The U.S. is aware of Russia and China's actions regarding Iran — Hegset
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth revealed details of the confrontation between the coalition and Russia, China, and Iran during a briefing at the Pentagon.
The head of the Defense Department confirmed that Washington possesses comprehensive intelligence regarding Moscow and Beijing’s attempts to support Tehran with intelligence data during the height of Operation “Epic Fury.”
According to Hagseth, the U.S. command is not merely observing the actions of its adversaries but is actively neutralizing their efforts.
“As for Russia and China, we know exactly what they are doing or not doing. We don’t necessarily have to make all of this public. But where necessary, we address the issue, we mitigate it, and/or we counter it directly,” he emphasized.
The minister paid particular attention to the issue of intelligence sharing between the Kremlin and the Iranian regime. He noted that adversaries are trying to identify the positions of U.S. forces, but the U.S. military is operating in the most unconventional way possible.
“We are aware of this. One of the main principles you learn in the military is not to create patterns, predictable patterns,” explained the Pentagon chief.
To protect personnel and equipment, U.S. commanders are constantly adapting tactics and moving combat systems.
This makes them difficult to detect, especially when using Russian or Chinese surveillance equipment.
As a reminder, the U.S. is banking on a deal with Iran.
Also, the U.S. does not want to say in advance whether it will send troops to Iran. The Pentagon states clearly: the main strategy is to be unpredictable.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington will no longer support countries that cannot independently secure access to energy resources due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
As a reminder, Iran called Ukraine an accomplice to US and Israeli aggression at the UN.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported that the Iranian regime has made two attempts to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump.
