Trump is outraged that U.S. weapons intended for Iranian rebels have been stolen

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on ABC News on April 6 that an attempt to deliver weapons to the civilian population of Iran to spark an internal uprising had failed.

According to the American leader, the weapons were intercepted and appropriated by intermediaries responsible for logistics. Trump expressed sharp outrage over the operation’s failure and threatened those involved with a “heavy price” for this sabotage.

The president emphasized that if Iranians had received the means for self-defense, the current regime in Tehran “would have surrendered in two seconds.” He believes that the presence of weapons among the population is a key factor for a change of power within the country.

This statement came amid a major escalation in the region, including U.S. strikes on Iranian targets and Washington’s demands to unblock the Strait of Hormuz under threat of destroying Iran’s critical infrastructure. Currently, the White House is considering new methods to support the Iranian opposition, while Russia is attempting to use the conflict in the Middle East to divert attention from its aggression against Ukraine. The international community is monitoring the situation due to the risk of local clashes escalating into a global war.

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency has been actively arming Kurdish forces in Iraq to provoke a popular uprising in Iran, where entire regions are also populated by Kurds.

It should be recalled that the Kurds rejected the U.S. proposal to participate in an uprising against the Ayatollah regime after the Americans had previously betrayed their Kurdish allies in Syria.
