Trump knows and supports Witkoff’s ‘peace plan’ – White House
US President Donald Trump has been informed about the detailed plan to end the war in Ukraine, which his special envoy Steve Witkoff is developing, and fully supports it. The initiative, which requires concessions from both Kyiv and Moscow, has become a priority for the White House, according to Trump administration spokesperson Caroline Levitt, as reported by "Suspilne".
Levitt confirmed that Trump has consistently expressed his desire to end the Russia-Ukraine war and has been disappointed by both sides’ refusal to commit to a peace agreement. The president has been briefed on Witkoff’s plan and supports his proposals.
A White House source stated that the administration has been working on the plan for about a month. Special Representative Witkoff is “quietly gathering information” from both sides to determine acceptable terms for ending hostilities. The official stressed that “both sides will have to make concessions, not just Ukraine.”
Previously, Trump approved a secret ‘peace plan’ for Ukraine. Witkoff also accidentally revealed information about the source of the US plan.
