Between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Russian forces launched 409 attack UAVs of various types, including Shahed, “Gerbera,” and “Italmas.” About 250 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The launches were carried out from Russian territory, as well as from the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk Oblast and Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups were deployed to repel the attack.
According to preliminary data, 16 drones were recorded hitting six locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at 11 additional locations.
The Air Force notes that the attack is ongoing, enemy drones remain in the air, and urges citizens to follow safety guidelines.
On the night of May 1, Russian troops carried out an attack on port infrastructure facilities in the Odesa region. The Izmail district came under fire.
Additionally, Mykolaiv was again attacked by Russian drones. Homes in the residential sector were damaged, and a fire broke out. An air raid alert remains in effect in the city, and residents are urged to stay in shelters.
In Dnipro, a bus was destroyed and a residential building, a store, and cars were damaged as a result of the strike. There is also damage in Zaporizhzhia.
