In Druzhkivka, more than 17,000 customers were left without gas due to shelling by Russia
Gas supply was cut off in the Druzhkivka community in Donetsk Oblast as a result of Russian shelling on June 1, 2026. A total of 17,368 customers in the city and surrounding settlements were left without gas. The outage was caused by systematic strikes on the region’s infrastructure.
This was reported with reference to Donetskoblgaz.
"According to information from the dispatcher of the Linear Production Department of Main Gas Pipelines, today, June 1, 2026, the inlet and outlet valves at the Druzhkivka gas distribution station were shut off," the statement reads.
According to Donetskoblgaz, this decision was made due to constant daily shelling by Russian occupation forces. As a result of the latest damage to the gas networks, there is currently no technical possibility to carry out emergency repair work and ensure a stable gas supply.
The company added that 17,368 customers remain without gas:
Druzhkivka
— 4,151 private-sector customers;
— 13,342 customers in the public sector;
Kindrativka village
— 2 private sector customers;
Druzhkivske (Chervonozoriane) village
— 15 private sector subscribers.
