Thieves broke in by forcing a door and disabled the video surveillance system, preventing the alarm from going off. The loss was discovered by the warehouse manager the following morning, with the stolen items mainly consisting of smartphones, computers, and tablets. French media, citing police sources, reported 50,000 devices stolen with an estimated loss of about €37 million ($44 million).
However, JD refuted claims of “significant losses” as inaccurate. The warehouse has resumed operations while investigations into the incident continue.
